I went to allot of effort to make my arena, using Hirst Arts blocks and building a wooden box for transport, I'd not recommend that for most people though, its heaps of work and not a little cash to make something as extravagant. I thought I'd show both my arena and some others I've found that other people have made here, so you have an idea what is possible and for inspiration for anyone else considering building their own, I'll add more as I find them.

Here is my finished (though unpainted) arena:

Thanks for coming in the other day Sam ... love this arena .. in that box it looks totally professional!

I'm SOOO keen to build a round arena ala roman fighting pit ... Terranscapes showed a video on YouTube of one that they built.

Is that the only "trap door"?
Be awesome to have a few of those to use in game

No mate, there are four trap doors on the board, one is each corner, I just have a bunch of stone covers that can be removed as you wish. This way you can have none to four trap doors open in any given game. I'll also be making small scenic pieces to fit into the bottom of the pits to make them look like various types; spiked, water, acid and beast pits!

Progress on this has stalled a little as I need to buy paint, and I'm currently not getting hours at work... :?

Beast pits, they have to be beast pits

(thinking of the fight vs the big gaul guy in Gladiator with the lions)

:)

Wow, that is a very impressive build! Congratulations on having such a great arena to play on.

Mark.
