Hey guys. Been in discussion with Viv for a while about running an in store 2 day Fantasy tournament. Thought it was about time a got off my arse and did something about it. So here I go..... November 14th and 15th. Looking for 10 players (totalling 5 games each).
2000 point armies. There will be no comp scoring. This is a freindly tournament. Im encouraging competative lists but please leave the cheese at home.
Fully painted armies are not a must, but a bit of pride never go's a stray!
No proxies. Conversions are sweet (the more the better IMO).
No special characters
No allies
Games will go for 2.5 hours max.
Open lists
$20 entry fee.
There will be 2 places to battle for. -Best general, based purely on a combined VPs. -And best sportsman, which will be decided by all participants at the end of the tournament.
The prizes will most likey be $100 worth of stock from the store for each winner (still have to clarify this).
I would like this to be as friendly and layed back as possible. So if we can all go into this with an attitude focused on a good time I recon it will be a successful weekend!
Gimmi a call on 0432480008 after 5pm if your interested. Alternatively have a chat to Viv.
Cheers, Nick

I'd like to play in this too Nick but i'll need to let you know later as i'm moving into my house in November and I'll have building inspections to do some weekends (not something i can miss ). If spots fill i guess too bad for me but hopefully i should know more details in the next couple of weeks.

Sounds cool, will need to do some more work painting my Orcs (let alone figuring out how to actually play them competitively...)

I'm just warning that my roster for my stupid job is always changing, so there is a small chance I might get stuck having to work at this time, but I'll warn you in advance...
Played a game vs Dave yesterday, Orcs vs Dusty-Dead and it was good, not for the fact that I kick ass, I didn't, but did get me thinking about what to do with/how to play my army. I'm thinking of trying a few new things, trying to make my list better

As i told you yesterday Ty i think that loss was more based on a couple of bad rolls then on much else. I was lucky you failed a couple of animositys and my tomb guard walked through your army. Although you werel ucky my catapult rolled 3 misfires from 3 shots!

Yo. If anyone gets the chance it would be much appreciated if they could con Scott into playing his dwarf army! Cheers for the heads up Tye . I know it sounds pretty obvious, but I just wanna remind peeps that if 1 person ends up dropping out without any notice it will throw things out badly. So (like Tye has) it would be great if you can keep me informed. Looking forward to a weekend of slaughter dedicated to the dark gods
